The next session of the Carantes reading group is meeting on Tuesday September 2nd (i.e. next week) at 4 – 6 pm Welsh time (GMT +1). Please RSVP to receive the Zoom link on the day.
In recent sessions we’ve been discussing the complexities of race and ethnicity in the medieval period, and how that might influence and impact Celtic whiteness and the politics of anti-racism today.
Our reading for this session will be The Other Faces of Arthur: Chivalric Whiteness in the Global North Atlantic by Nahir I. Otaño Gracia. Please contact us if you are interested in attending but are having trouble getting access to the book. Though, as always, you are welcome to attend even if you haven’t done the reading.
In solidarity, and hopefully see you soon!
Rhys & Elisabeth.
